Facebook uses a variety of different false "fact checks" to censor and remove true information that they don't want the public to know, and then use the fact that a page shared "false information" to further censor and reduce the reach of a page. They mainly do this for information and pages that support Conservative points. I have yet to see one "fact checked" article that supports the Liberal narrative even when it is blatantly false information.

Some of the most common methods of "fact check" that Facebook uses to censor information are:

1. 1. Using an opposing opinion as a "fact check"


2. 2. Stating the article is "missing context" then use an opinion about what the information really means and call that a "fact check"


3. 3. Ascribing motives to people and actions referenced in the article to make it sound like either a good or bad thing depending on the narrative they want to advance


4. 4. Reference a different article that contains all the same factual information as the first article but also contains false information and use that as justification for censoring the one that does not contain false information

In this article we give a real example of the last method.

Reference a different article, a real life example

On August 31, 2023 at 7 AM I posted an article from Just The News (Click here to open link in new tab) to the Red, White and True Facebook News facebook page. The article is about a POSSIBLE voter registration fraud scheme as well as the related investigation by the Muskegon Police Department and Michigan State Police into that POTENTIAL voter fraud. It makes no outrageous claims of "proof" but rather goes into great detail about the investigation and how the information uncovered was turned over to the FBI for further investigation. Just an article based on factual, verifiable information.





Almost immediately Facebook put a warning over the article which on the surface says it contains "Sensitive content", not "false information".





But when you click on "More info" it comes up with a fact check that says "This information has no basis in fact" and "Fact Check: Michigan Police Did NOT Find 'Tens Of Thousands' Of Fake Voter Registration Applications". Something which was never claimed in the article I posted.





For those who go a step further and click on the link to the actual "fact check" article itself you see that it is a fact check of a totally different article that was published by The Gateway Pundit that did actually make some outrageous claims unlike the article I posted.





So you can see the methods facebook uses with their "fact checks" are designed in layers. The first layer does not say "False Information but rather "Sensitive Content" which in itself will keep many people from looking further by giving the impression it's something gross or gory. The second layer says it has "No basis in fact" and shows the headline of the Gateway Pundit article. If you get as far as reading the actual "fact check" article it goes into detail about the Gateway Pundit article but if you made it that far you likely hadn't clicked to uncover the article I DID post. You would have no idea the fact check didn't apply to what I posted.

The end result

Once you have a few "fact checks" for "false information", facebook uses it as an excuse to reduce your reach, make you ineligible to come up in "recommended pages" and can make you ineligible for monetization or to advertise. They even once put a pop up warning on my unpolitical, unrelated Remodel Contracting business page saying that page "may share content that violates community standards". I have always been careful to keep politics off that page. It has only been pictures and descriptions of the work I do, nothing that could remotely be considered a violation of community standards. It was a very clear attempt to hurt me financially because of my political views.






But the bigger issue than what they do to my individual page is what they are doing to the American Public. There are countless other pages out there like mine trying to share factual information about what is going on in this country so the American Public can make informed decisions. Facebook along with other Big Tech and the Liberal MSM are conspiring to hide valid information from the public and are helping to further the reach of actual false information. As has now been proven in Court they have even done so at the request of agencies of the United States Government under the Biden Administration. You have heard the terms "Danger to our Democracy" and "Election Interference" bandied about by many on the left but this is the real danger to our Republic. An American people who is misinformed due to collusion by those in power, Big Tech and the Main Stream Media. That is the pinnacle of Election Interference.
